My name is Shel McMurtry, and I’m an artist and graphic designer based in Nashville, TN. With a diverse range and knowledge of varying mediums, I combine practices of my studio work with that of digital compositing. I strive to capture specificity and leave a lasting impression through image making.
My artistic process combines my knowledge of design principles and traditional media. I believe in the power of minimalism and simplicity, as well as integrating striking visuals to conceptualize a project from the ground up. My combination of these practices generates a style of work that I am often commissioned to replicate in promotional material for local music artists, filmmakers, and businesses.
